TITUSVILLE, PA - The Education & Training Center at Pitt-Titusville - ETC – is having a Spring Open House on Saturday, April 6, starting at 9 a.m. in the Broadhurst Science Center Henne Lobby.
Interested students and families will have an opportunity to learn what ETC has to offer and discuss available programs.
Instructors and representatives from each of the ETC’s partners, including Pitt-Titusville, the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College, the Swanson School of Engineering’s Manufacturing Assistance Center and Manchester Bidwell’s Brockway Center for Arts and Technology will be on site to share information about the programs and to answer questions.
Prospective students, families, and those looking for a career change are encouraged to attend to learn about programs that will help them succeed in our region’s workforce. Enrollment specialists will be available to assist with any questions.

Pitt-Titusville’s Associate of Science in Nursing program is listed 6th in the state, and the 2023 program boasts a 100% first-time pass rate of the National Council Licensure Exam. The state has an approximate annual need of 4,800 nurses due to the aging baby boomer population, making up more than 25% of the state’s population. By 2030, all baby boomers will be age 65 or older, placing greater need on the state’s health care infrastructure. Additionally, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the average annual salary for a registered nurse in the state at roughly $76,000.
The ETC also is an instructional site for NPRC’s associate degree programs, including business administration, criminal justice, and early childhood education. In addition to its workforce certificates and associate degrees, NPRC continues to provide pre-requisite classes for students entering Pitt-Titusville’s Associate of Science in Nursing program.
The MAC debuted its programs in 2021 with students completing one or both of its programs in basic machining and/or computer numerical control programming. MAC courses can be completed full time in as little as six weeks or part time over 15 weeks with courses starting throughout the year.
The Brockway Center for Arts and Technology at Titusville is in its second year with its Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy program. The first cohort had a 100% pass rate on its certification exams, and all students received jobs in their desired field. Both cohorts started at maximum capacity.
Earlier this month, campus officials unveiled a new logo and name to depict the mission of the partners more accurately. What was previously known as the Education and Training Hub, now the Education & Training Center at Pitt-Titusville, was launched to support workforce opportunities through educational programs for residents in the region.
“Our new name and unique logo really speak to the endless possibilities offered here for both traditional and nontraditional students,” said Dr. Stephanie Fiely, executive director of ETC. “Whether it’s your first time looking to upskill your trade or you want to pursue workforce programs or an associate degree, there is an opportunity for you at ETC. I encourage those who are unsure of their next step to come to our open house to learn what certifications and degrees are available here in our community.
