Federal Pell Grants

The Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate students. Grant amounts are dependent on the student's expected family contribution (EFC), the cost of attendance and the student's enrollment status (full time, 3/4 time, 1/2 time, and less than 1/2 time). Students may not receive Federal Pell Grant funds from more than one school at a time. Financial need is determined by the Department of Education using a standard formula, established by Congress, to evaluate the financial information reported on Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

All potentially eligible students are considered automatically by the financial aid office based on the results of the FAFSA.

PA State Grant

This program allows eligible Pennsylvania residents to obtain financial assistance for undergraduate study at any PHEAA-approved institution of higher education. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) serves as the program's application. Awards are based on financial need. Students must be enrolled at least half-time in a degree seeking undergraduate program.
